We believe in quality cleaning systems. But to do that consistently we need to have a system in place to monitor and ensure we maintain and upgrade the standards. The ISO 9001 standard helps us do that.
Many people believe that ISO 9001 is only a paper exercise which adds costs to the office administration. Yes, it is in many organisations.
However we have designed our ISO 9001 Quality Manual to ensure we are measuring only what we need to measure to ensure our cleaning standards are maintained.
The regular quality reviews have also helped us to look in more detail and improve the way the work in a number of different ways. This has enabled us to not only improve our cleaning standards but also cut internal costs at the same time.

BS EN ISO 14001
When we started looking at this 14001 environmental standard and investigating the cleaning products we were using we were shocked. Commercial cleaning products we were originally using were damaging the earth in a number of different ways.
We had been told by our main suppliers that the products were all environmentally friendly. Our research showed they were not being fully truthful with us.
What is worse many of our commercial cleaning competitors are still using those same products.
We quickly changed our suppliers and improved our carbon footprint. For example we are no longer responsible for transporting cartons of water with a small amount of cleaning material added. We now dilute at the point of use saving lots of diesel fuel as they move around the country.
In addition we are no longer adding waste caustic solutions into the water drainage systems polluting the waterways and creating extra work for our water companies to neutralise before putting it back into the water supply pipes.
